Lucknow: A mental health awareness programme, jointly organised by PsychoAware Foundation and Nachiketa Awareness Society at LU's department of psychology on Saturday, focused on student issues like examination anxiety , social disconnection, parental expectations and interpersonal difficulties. The event was titled 'Student Life: The Inner Canvas'.
"We live in a world that's constantly changing and uncertain. To do well, students need to manage their time, energy, and emotions wisely. Mental health isn't a luxury, it's essential," stated retd Colonel Sanjeev Sahai."Mental health is not just about treatment, it's about awareness, empathy and proactive care. Experiential learning helps students build resilience and truly understand themselves," said Manini Srivastava, assistant professor from the department of psychology.
A skit by students and a meditative song by Bhavya Chaturvedi created a powerful emotional impact. The event concluded with the distribution of 'Closure Cards' featuring 24x7 mental health helplines like iCall, Mpower Mind, and PsychoAware's own service.
