JAMMU: Security forces launched Sunday a cordon and search operation on the outskirts of Jammu after a brief gunfire exchange between a soldier and terrorists in Army fatigue near Nagrota Military Station the previous night.

There have been some high-stakes pursuits in Kathua, Udhampur, Poonch, and Doda, but suspects continued evading capture by frequently shifting locations.
