left the BBC studio in stitches with a hilarious comment after was hailed for playing with his left hand. Former world champion Ken Doherty eulogised about O'Sullivan's performance with his weaker hand at the World Championship, prompting Murphy to make an amusing quip.
Speaking over a clip of O'Sullivan potting with his left during his , pundit Doberty said: "This blue he takes on... left-handed! It's ridiculous how good he is with his left hand."
The Irishman turned to Murphy and asked: "Can you play with your left hand?"
To which the 2005 world champion joked: "I can play with my left hand, but when you're as good with the rest as I am, you don't need to!"
O'Sullivan made an excellent start to the third session on Friday evening. Determined to make an iconic comeback after being whitewashed by Zhao and left trailing 12-4 following the second session, O'Sullivan played aggressively in a bid to overturn the eight-frame deficit.
The Rocket won the next two frames to bring the score back to 12-6, capitalising on a couple of errors from the otherwise hugely impressive Zhao. However, the Chinese star then reestablished his eight-frame lead by winning the next two. He now needs only three frames to reach his first World Championship final.
O'Sullivan's improvement comes after he underperformed in the earlier session on Friday. Overnight, he had sensationally visited a cue doctor in Sheffield to replace his tip and ferrule. The 49-year-old had been frustrated with his display despite a thrilling first session that saw both players level at 4-4.

A change of ferrule and tip is said to have set O'Sullivan back £150 but it seemed to have the undesired effect in the second session. Zhao won eight-straight frames to effectively put one foot in the final, where the winner of the match will meet the victor from Judd Trump's clash with Mark Williams.
When he stepped back out into the Crucible Theatre for Friday's evening session, Zhao knew he needed to win only five frames to secure his passage to his first Sheffield showdown.
Should the 28-year-old go on to win the tournament, he would become the first Asian and first amateur player to become the world champion. Zhao came through four qualifying matches just to land a spot in the main draw. Last September, he returned to the snooker circuit after serving a 20-month ban after being found to have been party to another player fixing two matches, and betting on snooker himself, between 2019 and 2022.
