Prince Harry dubbed Meghan Markle's 'spare' as 'awkward' body language decoded by expert

Prince Harry and have "awkward-looking" body language, according to an expert. Judi James, a body language expert, analysed the couple as they made their entrance at the Time 100 summit in New York.

Upon arrival, the ushered his wife out of the car and is said to have had "direct camera attention" on his wife. Meghan went on to open up about giving herself "space and grace to make mistakes" and reveal has a wobbly tooth. Ms James told the the Express that, though Harry's behaviour may look doting, it is actually dripping with "awkwardness".

James said that Harry appears to be in the role of "spare", displaying some awkward-looking body language poses while a more assured Meghan takes the starring role.

She went on: "Harry appears to be in 'spare' mode here, scurrying round like his wife's security as she sweeps into the venue like the total star.

"The way Harry rushes round the side of the car to join his wife as she is climbing out suggests he sees their arrival as something of a double act. His expression looks focused and serious as he pulls at the sides of his jacket in a gesture of anxiety.

"Meghan ignores her husband though, despite the fact that his hand is raised to touch her. Meghan has both her hands raised in an intentional gesture aimed at showing her host her intention to greet with an air kiss and hug.

"The ignore seems to leave Harry in a small body language quandary. His eyes drop, and he decides to fiddle with the back of his pants to avoid being left hanging. There is no moving to introduce Harry to the host after hugging her here, Meghan just turns and strides ahead into the venue leaving Harry waving one hand out in the air as he follows behind her."

Harry and Meghan have lived in the US since leaving the Royal Family in 2020.

The couple have pursued a number of solo projects in recent months.
