Manchester United are increasingly hopeful of recouping up to £42.5million (€50m) for Antony this summer, providing a significant boost to Ruben Amorim's financial resources. The 25-year-old Brazilian has been in fine form for Real Betis since his loan move in January, contributing six goals and four assists.
Betis are under the impression that Antony is keen to extend his stay beyond the current season, with the winger said to have given his word. However, United are holding off on formal transfer discussions until the end of the season as both clubs are deeply involved in their respective European campaigns.
Antony found the back of the net for Betis in their Conference League semi-final triumph over Fiorentina on Thursday, and Old Trafford bosses are also open to other clubs expressing interest. Atletico Madrid are believed to have made enquiries, according to the Mirror.
