England boss Thomas Tuchel has axed five players from his England squad and left out Jack Grealish again for the upcoming international break. The Everton star has continued to shine in the Premier League this season, but hasn't featured for his nation since 2024.
One man who is back in the squad is Jude Bellingham after his surprise omission last time around. The Three Lions have already sealed their spot in next summer's World Cup after winning all six of their qualification games. Tuchel's men are yet to concede a goal and will be looking to continue their fine form against Serbia and Latvia.
England were 5-0 winners in the previous meeting with Serbia in one of the best performances since Tuchel replaced Gareth Southgate at the start of the year. They beat Albania 2-0 in March thanks to goals from Myles Lewis-Skelly and Harry Kane.
Since moving to Everton on loan from Manchester City, Grealish has rediscovered the form that once made him one of England's most threatening players. Under David Moyes, the 30-year-old has contributed to five goals in nine Premier League games.
Grealish's last appearance for England came in October 2024, when he scored in a 3-1 away win over Finland. He was left out of the Euro 2024 squad by Gareth Southgate after losing his place in the City squad.
Elsewhere, Tuchel made several more changes to his squad with five players from the October squad missing out this time. Lewis-Skelly, Ollie Watkins, James Trafford, Morgan Gibbs-White and Ruben Loftus-Cheek were the players axed by Tuchel.
However, after being left out of the October squad, Bellingham has been included following his return from injury.
The surprise inclusion is Bournemouth's Alex Scott. The versatile midfielder has impressed for the Cherries this season and was a regular in the England youth set-up previously. Nick Pope, Reece James, Bellingham and Phil Foden are the
Adam Wharton has also been included following his fine form with Crystal Palace. The 21-year-old has only played one time for his country and was an unused substitute throughout the Euro 2024 campaign.
In defence, Nico O'Reilly, Jarell Quansah and Djed Spence retain their spot in a bid to book their place on the plane to north America. Jordan Henderson and Morgan Rogers have also been named, alongside Marcus Rashford.
