In the UK, autumn starts on September 1, which is the meteorological autumn, or on September 22, which is the astronomical date marked by the autumn equinox. But it doesn't mean that seasonal problems are restricted to these exact dates, as many Britons will know if they already have condensation around the home. As temperatures drop in the lead-up to the winter months, condensation emerges as a relentless issue, particularly when it's time to turn on central heating.
Wiping away dampness from window panes is straightforward, but it becomes an entirely different challenge when dealing with the internal sections of double-glazed windows. However, it's not beyond reach as one window specialist has demonstrated with their ingenious solution.

The BJH Windows experts offered guidance on how to address the issue. They said: "If you have invested in double-pane windows, then you'll want to keep them up to scratch.
"The tricky thing about double-glazed windows is that condensation can get caught between the two panes and cause watermarks. This isn't ideal and can look unsightly."
To combat the issue, they suggested several common household devices, including a hair dryer and a space heater.
BJH Windows' expert notes that these appliances are ideal owing to their availability and simple usage.
Simply position either device next to the window, turn it on, and observe as it eliminates "all the moisture in between" the glass sections.
Naturally, a more lasting remedy is essential to prevent spending countless hours drying out condensation-affected windows.
The window specialists cautioned: "Condensation build-up happens when the airtight seal in your double-pane windows is broken."
This kind of problem necessitates professional intervention to ensure a proper fix and avoid permanent damage to the double glazing.
However, dehumidifiers are another incredibly useful tool for keeping moisture at bay, both on and inside glass window panes.
Simply position a dehumidifier on the windowsill to effectively absorb moisture and maintain a consistent humidity level in the air. This method is effective in all rooms, whether it's a bathroom, living room, kitchen or bedroom.
Dehumidifiers operate by drawing in humid air, extracting moisture from it, and then circulating the drier air back into the room. This process helps balance humidity levels and reduce excess moisture in the air.
These smart devices can also help save on heating costs because the air heats up quickly in a room with lower moisture levels.
