Earlier this year, Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan experienced a harrowing attack when an intruder broke into his Mumbai residence on January 16, 2025. The assailant entered through Saif’s younger son Jeh’s room and stabbed the actor six times, with two of the wounds dangerously close to his spine. Saif was rushed to Lilavati Hospital, where surgeons performed a complex operation to remove a knife blade lodged near his spinal cord.
In a recent promo for the show "Too Much," hosted by Kajol and Twinkle Khanna, Saif shared a poignant memory of how his elder son Taimur reacted during the terrifying event. Saif recounted: "I was stabbed in the leg, and there was blood everywhere. Taimur looked at me upstairs and asked, 'Are you going to die?' I replied, 'No, I don’t think so.'" Kajol was visibly moved and embraced Saif, calling him "a real hero," while Twinkle Khanna listened intently as Saif narrated the incident.
Saif also shared details of the attack, explaining how he confronted the masked intruder armed with two blades. He fought to subdue the attacker, wrestling him to prevent further harm. The incident prompted a police investigation, leading to the arrest of Mohammad Shariful Islam Shehzad, a Bangladeshi national. While the motives remain unclear, Saif’s bravery and recovery have been widely praised, and his family has requested privacy and patience as investigations continue.
The incident remains a stark reminder of security concerns, even for prominent public figures, and highlights Saif Ali Khan’s resilience in the face of adversity.
