United Nations Secretary General António Guterres on Tuesday, 6 May, expressed concern over the precision Indian military strike in Pakistani-Occupied Kashmir and Pakistan in retaliation to the terrorist attack that took the lives of 26 people in last month.
“The Secretary-General is very concerned about the Indian military operations across the Line of Control and the international border. He calls for maximum military restraint from both countries,” Stéphane Dujarric, spokesperson for the Secretary-General, told reporters in response to a question.
“The world cannot afford a military confrontation between India and Pakistan,” he said, responding to questions about the Indian military strike at nine places in PoK and Pakistan.
