Lola Young sparked concern when she collapsed on stage and had to be "carried off" by medical staff.
The singer was performing at the All Things Go Music Festival in New York on Saturday when she admitted she had been through a "tricky couple of days" and wasn't sure she would be able attend. Just moments later she collapsed as staff rushed to help her.
She said on stage, "I had a tricky couple of days, sometimes life makes you feel that you can't continue but you know what, I woke up and made the decision to come here." Lola, 24, best known for her 2024 hit single Messy, was singing her song Conceited on stage at Forest Hills stadium when she collapsed.
Hours after the incident she took to Instagram to share an update with concerned fans writing, "Hi, for anyone who saw my set at all things go today, I am doing okay now. Thank you for all of your support xxx."

The incident followed on from her cancelling a concert on Friday "due to a sensitive matter." Her manager Nick Shymansky wrote on social media, "There are [occasionally] days where myself and my team have to take protective measures to keep her safe.
"She is an incredible person and always takes her fans, career and performances seriously. I can only send huge apologies for the inconvenience caused."
In 2022 Lola revealed that she was diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder when she was 17. She shared on Instagram, "I cant find the words to describe how much this diagnosis has affected my entire life, and my outlook on the world around me.
"I have struggled immensely learning to accept this part of myself, and I am still learning. I have to remind myself that I am a regular f****** person, I am human and I am, like everyone, capable of incredible things, my mental health condition does not define me. It is my superpower."
Schizoaffective disorder is classified as experiencing a mix of schizophrenia symptoms, including hallucinations and delusions, and mood disorder symptoms, including depression, mania and hypomania. Lola was diagnosed after suffering what she initially thought was clinical depression and bipolar disorder.
She also told fans how she had an uncle on each side of her family who also had schizophrenia and that both of them had tragically died. She also expressed that she felt her condition may have been triggered by smoking cannabis, which she had used to manage childhood trauma that she has not discussed the details of.
Lola also shared how she can often tell when a manic episode is coming as she starts to get strange thoughts, but can usually medicate to control the situation, although it has caught her off guard previously and caused her to be sectioned.
She said she can usually sense an oncoming manic episode when she starts getting strange thoughts, but is usually able to medicate to keep things under wraps, though she has previously been taken by surprise and ended up being sectioned.
She also confirmed that her illness is unpredictable and that she can have manic episodes that last as long as a month and prevent her from sleeping for several days at a time, meaning touring is difficult for her. The star also confessed to having a lot of guilt and shame over her illness, and that she can feel ostracised when others witness any incidents.
