Emmys 2025: How to watch the TV awards ceremony from the UK with Adolescence set to win big

The 77th Primetime Emmy Awards are finally here, and some of the most talked-about shows in the world are up for the night’s biggest prizes.

Severance is leading the pack with a massive 27 nominations, followed closely by The Penguin with 24, and The Studio with 23, tying with The Bear’s record for the most-nominated freshman comedy. Meanwhile, Adolescence is predicted to take home the award for Best Limited or Anthology series this weekend - while if star Owen Cooper wins in the Supporting Acting category, he'll become the youngest to ever win it.

Other major contenders include The White Lotus, Hacks, The Bear, The Last of Us, Andor and The Pitt. Comedian Nate Bargatze will host the evening, while stars including Sarah Paulson, Sydney Sweeney, Colman Domingo, Angela Bassett, Tina Fey, Jude Law, Kristen Bell, Jenna Ortega and many more are set to present.

When are the 2025 Emmys?

The 77th Primetime Emmy Awards will take place on Sunday, September 14, 2025. The ceremony begins at 8pm ET/5pm PT, which means a 1am start time in the UK on Monday, September 15.

What channel are the Emmys on in 2025?

The Emmys will air live in the US on CBS and stream on Paramount+ Premium. At the moment, no UK broadcaster has confirmed coverage. UK viewers may need to check international streaming options or wait for highlights on social media and YouTube.

How long are the Emmys?

The show is scheduled to run for three hours, from 8–11pm ET. That means UK fans who find a way to tune in live will be watching from 1am until around 4am.

Who is nominated?

Ayo Edebiri is the first Black woman to be nominated for both acting and directing in a comedy in the same year for The Bear, while Sterling K. Brown has tied the record for the most Emmy nominations by a Black male performer.

Bella Ramsey (The Last of Us) is now the youngest two-time nominee for Lead Actress in a Drama at just 21, and 15-year-old Owen Cooper (Adolescence) is the youngest-ever nominee for Supporting Actor in a Limited Series.
