There could be a next week on , as one character could become a huge threat to killer John Sugden.
The character in question could be set for a major plot, after secretly being in a coma for years. It was just weeks ago that the truth about Aidan Moore's fate was exposed.
For months we and John's loved ones had been led to believe that Aidan died a few years back while on patrol with the army in . John lied that Aidan was a mate who died, with him unable to save him after an incident.
Then last month we found out that Aidan was still alive, but he had secretly been in a coma for years in Leeds. After the incident in the army, with John apparently trying to save his life only for him to be left in a bad way, Aidan has remained in hospital.
It'd been claimed that Aidan would never wake up, but that is all about to change it seems. The Mirror's soap source spilled: "Just as John thinks he can finally move past the whole Aidan drama, there's huge news at the hospital and John is once again forced to face him.
"But this time it could prove to be rather eventful, and not the scenario that John needs just as his killer secret regarding Nate Robinson threatens to come to light. Aidan appears to wake from his coma, but it's anyone's guess if he will spill the beans about what really happened between him and John all those years ago."

Judging by the spoilers it seems there's more for us to find out about what led to Aidan being left in a coma. John bumps into Aidan's mother Cathleen at the hospital who wrongly assumes he's been notified that there's been news about Aidan, and begs him to accompany her to see him on his ward.
Suddenly as John's name is mentioned Aidan's eyes spring open, and not long after he wakes from his coma. John is desperate to try and assess the threat level, but will Aidan be able to reveal what went on?
It seems he's non-verbal, but might he be able to expose John? "Whatever Aidan knows, John is very, very keen to make sure it stays between them," our soap source teased. "John is desperate for his happy ending with Aaron, but Aidan could be about to throw a spanner in the works."
recently told The of what's ahead: "There's a wedding coming up, and that is Aaron and John. I've just signed off those episodes and they are very brilliant and very exciting.
"John is full of trepidation heading into the wedding, worrying about what secrets might get exposed along the way. We've got Aidan in a coma and I can tell you he's absolutely not gonna be in that coma forever. So is he gonna wake up? If he does, what secrets can he come back with? Is he gonna walk in and spoil the wedding?"

Also next week there's cancer fears for Sarah Sugden as she pushes forward with her plans to have a child through IVF. Viewers know the character, who has a life-limiting health condition called fanconi anaemia, has decided she wants to be a mother, but next week there's a worrying discovery.
Our soap source reveals: "Sarah is keen to push forward with her plans, but when she undergoes an examination at the fertility clinic there's some scary news. The doctor finds some inflammation while examining her cervix, and Sarah immediately fears the worst given her health condition can increase the risk of developing certain cancers.
"She's in turmoil and has no one to turn to." Sarah will avoid telling her loved ones as she undergoes tests, before having a biopsy. Alone, she tries to process her potential cancer diagnosis as she awaits her results.
Soap boss Laura teased there was big stuff ahead for the character, telling us: "We have seen Sarah deciding she wants to have a baby. That's going to be a big story over the next 12 months or so. It is going to have lots of twists and turns, and is gonna cause some big ruptures in the whole family."
