IND vs ENG U19: Ayush Mhatre becomes captain, India's Under-19 team announced; Vaibhav Suryavanshi will fly to England

India U19 Squad BCCI has announced India's Under-19 team for the England tour. Ayush Mhatre has been made the captain while Abhigyan Kundu has got the responsibility of vice-captain. Let us tell you that the team will play five ODIs and two multi-day matches, for which Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who performed brilliantly in IPL 2025, has also got a place in the team.

India U19 Cricket Team Announced: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced India's Under-19 team for the England tour. On this tour, the team will play five ODIs and two multi-day matches, which will be held from June 24 to July 23.

Ayush Mhatre, who performed brilliantly for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) this season, has been made the captain of the team. Abhigyan Kundu has been chosen as the vice-captain and is one of the two wicketkeepers in the 16-member squad. Apart from this, Rajasthan Royals' young opener Vaibhav Suryavanshi has also got a place in the team.

IPL 2025 stars got a place in Team India

Actually, Ayush Mhatre was one of those players of IPL 2025 who stole the show with his performance. However, he was included in CSK as a replacement for the injured player in the middle of the season. He has so far scored 206 runs in just 6 matches at an average of 34.33 and a strike rate of 187.27, including a half-century. This young player has hit 28 fours and eight sixes in a very short time for CSK.

Like Mhatre, Vaibhav Suryavanshi has also been the sensation of this season. He made his debut mid-season and has scored 252 runs in 7 matches at an average of 36 and a blistering strike rate of 206.55, including a century and a half-century.

Suryavanshi has broken records this season by scoring the fastest century (in 34 balls) by an Indian. Now both of them have been rewarded for their brilliant performance in IPL 2025. The Test format of these two superstar players will also be tested on the England tour. Apart from these two, players like Harvansh Singh, Kanishk Chauhan, Aditya Rana, and Anmoljit Singh will also play an important role for India Under-19.
