24-year-old Indian domestic cricketer Atharva Anolekar has hit the headlines after fetching a whopping ₹16.25 lakhs in the T20 Mumbai League auction that took place on May 7, Wednesday. The likes of Ayush Mhatre, Angkrish Raghuvanshi, Musheer Khan, Sairaj Patil and Shams Mulani also grabbed the headlines but Anolekar took the cake.

An all-rounder, who plays for Mumbai in domestic cricket, the left-hander has featured in two first-class games and 15 List A and T20 matches each since coming into the scene in 2021. Anolekar's most notable achievement of his brief career came against Bangladesh during the U19 Asia Cup final in 2019 hosted by Colombo.
