Thane: Commuters returning home late on Thursday faced a harrowing traffic jam near the Cadbury signal in Thane at around 11.15 p.m., as the busy junction remained unmanned. The signal area witnessed vehicles piling up from multiple directions, leaving motorists stuck for several minutes.
No Traffic Personnel on Duty
Eyewitness told The Free Press Journal that although a city police van was stationed near the Cadbury factory, no officers were seen managing the traffic.
Citizens Step In to Help
In the absence of traffic personnel, several citizens—many of them office-goers—got down from their bikes and began volunteering to direct vehicles in a bid to ease the congestion.
