Bareilly: An inhumane incident has come to light from Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh. A girl of Nepali origin, identified as Sushmita (Kajal), was brutally thrashed by a mob of men over Suspicion of thieft. The incident on Friday. The woman was also tied to a pole with a rope.
The video of this incident has gone viral on social media. The video shows Sushmita sitting on the ground, surrounded by a mob of men. When she was asked why she came here? She stood up to answer, at which point a man in the mob said, "Bhag jayegi," which roughly translates to, "She will run away." To this, Sushmita can be heard saying, "Main nahi bhagungi," which translates to, "I won't run."
A man then grabs her hair. The girl, with folded hands, says, "Police ko bulao," which roughly translates to, "Call the police." She repeatedly begs the crowd to call the police, but the crowd can be heard asking her to sit down quietly. One of the men can then be heard saying, "Koi rasi ka tukda le aau," which translates to, "Bring a piece of rope."Another video shows the girl tied to a pole with a rope.

In this brutal beating, Sushmita sustained a fractured leg and broken teeth. Her clothes were also torn. Her condition is very serious. As soon as the police received the information, they rescued her and rushed her to the district hospital, where she is currently undergoing treatment.
What Exactly Happened?Sushmita, who works in Noida, had come to Bareilly to meet two of her friends. She was standing on a terrace at around 1:30 am, talking on her phone, when locals misunderstood her for a thief and began shouting “thief, thief.” Panicked by the noise of the crowd, the girl jumped from the roof in fear. She fractured one of her legs in the fall. The crowd then caught hold of her and assaulted her.
