National President and Deputy Chief Minister of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), Ajitdada Pawar, on Tuesday urged party workers to actively address the problems of the people and share in their joys and sorrows. “When you work sincerely for the people, they stand firmly behind you,” he said.
In a ceremony held on Tuesday, prominent leaders from the Devlali and Igatpuri Assembly constituencies of Nashik district officially joined the NCP in the presence of Ajitdada Pawar.
Focus on Employment and Housing Initiatives
Pawar highlighted government initiatives aimed at providing skilled employment to farmers and youth. He mentioned that the central government has set a target of building 2 million houses for the state.
“Everyone should strive to ensure that these schemes reach the people in their areas. The more people you reach, the more the party will grow,” he said. Pawar also assured that even though 78 years have passed since independence, some people remain homeless, but they will definitely benefit from the housing schemes of the central and state governments.
Remarks on the Election Commission
Pawar criticised those who blame the Election Commission when they lose elections and praise it when they win. “If the Election Commission makes mistakes, there is a judiciary. I have won consecutive elections from Baramati and never faced such issues,” he remarked emphatically.
