Mumbai Indians opener Rohit Sharma has stunningly been offered two reprieves by the Gujarat Titans in two overs in the all-important IPL 2025 Eliminator on May 30 (Friday) in Mullanpur. Gerald Coetzee and Kusal Mendis failed to hold on to the chances offered by the right-handed batter in back-to-back overs.
The first drop came from Coetzee in the very second over bowled by Prasidh Krishna. With Rohit miscuing a pull shot, it went to the South African speedster at fine leg and he spilt it despite juggling the ball twice. Meanwhile, Kusal Mendis, who has replaced Jos Buttler behind the stumps, failed to hold on to the chance after Rohit attempted a hoick over the on-side against Mohammed Siraj.
