PM Kisan 21st Installment Update: Farmers Likely to Get ₹2,000 in November’s First Week

Millions of farmers across the country are eagerly waiting for the 21st installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) Yojana. Under this central government scheme, farmers receive ₹6,000 per year in three equal installments of ₹2,000 each, directly credited to their bank accounts.

According to reports, the next installment may be released in the first week of November 2025. However, the government has not yet made any official announcement regarding the exact date. Still, given the previous payment schedules and ongoing preparations, the release is expected soon.

Possible Timing and Election Connection

As per sources, the government may choose to disburse the installment before mid-November, despite the ongoing assembly elections in Bihar, scheduled for November 6 and 11. Experts believe the payment will not be delayed, as PM-KISAN is an existing welfare program and not a new scheme.

Since it directly benefits farmers through pre-verified bank accounts, the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) does not prevent its continuation during election periods. Thus, eligible farmers are likely to receive their funds as planned.

States Where 21st Installment Has Already Been Released

Interestingly, some states have already received the benefit of this installment. On September 26, Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan released payments for farmers in Punjab, Haryana, and Himachal Pradesh, regions recently affected by floods.

Similarly, on October 7, the Jammu and Kashmir government credited the installment to farmers’ accounts to help them recover from losses and resume agricultural activities. These early disbursals suggest that other states could soon follow.

PM-KISAN: How the Scheme Helps Farmers

Launched in February 2019, the PM-KISAN Yojana was designed to ensure financial stability for small and marginal farmers. The scheme provides direct income support of ₹6,000 per year, split into three installments of ₹2,000 each. The money is transferred directly to the Aadhaar-linked bank accounts of registered farmers, ensuring transparency and eliminating middlemen.

Over the years, the scheme has become one of the most successful direct benefit transfer (DBT) programs in India, offering crucial financial assistance to help farmers cover input costs, seeds, fertilizers, and household expenses.

Eligibility and e-KYC Requirements

To receive the 21st installment, farmers must ensure that their e-KYC (Electronic Know Your Customer) process is complete. Only verified beneficiaries will receive the payment in their linked bank accounts. Farmers can check their payment status online through the official PM-KISAN website — pmkisan.gov.in.

Here’s how to check payment details:

  • Visit the PM-KISAN official website.

  • Click on ‘Know Your Status’ under the Beneficiary tab.

  • Enter your Aadhaar number or mobile number.

  • Verify the details using the OTP sent to your registered number.

  • Your payment status and installment history will appear on the screen.

  • If your details show “Pending,” ensure your bank account and Aadhaar linkage are correct to avoid delays in receiving funds.

    Why Timely Payment Matters

For millions of farmers, the PM-KISAN payment is more than just financial support—it is an assurance of stability and confidence. The funds often arrive during critical agricultural periods, helping farmers buy seeds, fertilizers, and other essentials on time.

With the festive season and rabi crop preparations around the corner, an early November release would be timely and beneficial, giving rural households much-needed liquidity.

    Final Word

While the official confirmation for the 21st PM-KISAN installment is awaited, indications strongly suggest a first-week-of-November release. Farmers are advised to complete their e-KYC verification and regularly check the PM-KISAN portal for updates.

Once released, the installment will bring much relief to crores of farmers, continuing the government’s ongoing effort to ensure financial inclusion and direct support for India’s agricultural community.
