PM Kisan Yojana: The central government made a major announcement on Monday, October 27, 2025, bringing good news for the country's farmers. Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan approved a pulses and oilseeds procurement plan worth over ₹15,000 crore for four states, including Madhya Pradesh. This plan will directly benefit farmers in Telangana, Odisha, Maharashtra, and Madhya Pradesh. This decision, made for the Kharif 2025-26 season, is a step towards increasing farmers' income and ensuring they receive fair remuneration for their hard work.
Maharashtra is expected to have the highest procurement.
According to an official statement, Telangana will procure 4,430 tons of mung beans, 100% of urad (black lentils), and 25% of soybeans. Odisha will procure 18,470 tons of pigeon pea, which is a welcome relief for farmers there. Maharashtra will see the largest procurement, with 33,000 tons of mung beans, 325,680 tons of urad, and 1850,700 tons of soybeans. Madhya Pradesh has a target of 2221,632 tons of soybeans.
Statement before next installment
These figures demonstrate the government's commitment to promoting farmers' produce. Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan stated that this scheme will ensure farmers receive fair prices for their hard-earned crops. He believes this will strengthen farmers' economic well-being and help realize the dream of a self-reliant India.
This announcement, ahead of the 21st installment of the PM Kisan Yojana (PM Kisan Yojana 21st Installment) brings double joy to farmers. This scheme will not only increase farmers' incomes but will also improve the supply of pulses and oilseeds in the market. It is believed that the next installment of the PM Kisan Yojana (PM-KISAN) may be released before the Bihar elections in November.
This government move is a positive step toward strengthening the rural economy. Farmers will no longer have to struggle to sell their crops in the markets, as the government is directly assisting them.
This scheme will not only provide economic benefits but will also boost farmers' morale. More states are expected to be included in this scheme in the coming days, so that farmers across the country can benefit from it.
