Agniveer Reservation policy: The Haryana government has announced the Agniveer Reservation Policy. In this policy, the state government has made arrangements to give reservation to former Agniveers in government jobs, under which 20 percent posts will be reserved for Agniveers, i.e., candidates who have completed 4 years of Agniveer service in Haryana Police Constable Recruitment. The benefit of reservation will be given only to Agniveers who are natives of the state.

10 percent reservation in the Forest Department, 5% on Group C posts
The Human Resources Department of the Haryana Government issued an order on Wednesday to give reservation to Agniveers. According to this order, the Haryana government will give the benefit of one percent reservation in Group B jobs, 5 percent in Group C jobs, 20 percent in Police Constable Recruitment, and 10 percent in Forest Department Recruitment to the former Agniveers of the state. This reservation will apply to all Scheduled Castes, Backward Classes, Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), and General Category.
Agniveers will not have to give a physical test in these recruitments.
Along with reserving posts for Agniveers, the Haryana government has also announced other relaxations, under which Agniveers, i.e., former Agniveers, will not have to give the Physical Screening Test (PST) during recruitment to posts like Police Constable, Forest Guard, Warden, and Mining Guard of the state government. That is, Agniveers will get exemption from the physical test on these posts.
Earlier, the Haryana government announced an exemption to Agniveers from the Common Eligibility Test (CET) mandatory for government jobs. Now they have also been given relief from their specialized skill test.
Selection will be done through a written examination.
The Haryana government has clarified in its order that the selection of Agniveers will be done on the basis of a written examination. They will be selected based on merit of the written examination. The appointment of Agniveer candidates will be considered in the same vertical category to which he belongs. The state government says that this decision will enable former Agniveers to get employment and respectable opportunities in civilian life. The order also provides that if a suitable former Agniveer is not available in any category, then that seat will be filled by another eligible candidate of the respective category.
