IIT Madras STEM Training for Teachers: There is good news for teachers teaching in colleges across the country. Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras has started an initiative for college teachers, under which IIT Madras will provide free training in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biotechnology (STEM) to college teachers.

Training for teachers teaching in graduation and post-graduation

The Teaching Learning Center of IIT Madras has announced a program to provide STEM training to teachers teaching graduation and post-graduation students. This program will be organized under the Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Program. For this, IIT Madras has tied up with Bodh Bridge Education.

Apply like this, the training will be for 9 days.
IIT Madras has invited applications to join the teachers' training program. An application can be made by visiting the link https://fundaspring.com/products/capacity-building-stem-faculty-iit-madras-malaviya-mission. The training of teachers will be for 9 days. 50 teachers will be selected for each batch. Selected teachers will be informed by email.

Giving information about this program, Prof. Edamana Prasad, Chairman, Teacher Learning Center, IIT Madras, said that the main objective of this program is to improve the performance of students and to encourage the number of students in STEM subjects. He said that teachers from government and private colleges can join this training program.

At the same time, he said that the training program module has been prepared based on practical laboratory, new teaching methods, and research. This will help teachers improve their pedagogical skills.

The first batch is starting from August 22
The first batch to give STEM training to teachers by IIT Madras will start from August 22. Biotechnology teachers will be trained from 22 August to 30 August. Chemistry training will be held from 7 October to 17 October. Similarly, training will be conducted for the first batch of Physics from 11 to 19 November and for the second batch from 20 to 28 November, while training for Mathematics will be conducted from 15 to 24 December 2025.
