The linesman put his flag in the immediate aftermath but a quick VAR check confirmed that Dominik Szoboszlai, who crossed for the Colombian, was in an onside position. Following the decision being overturned, the Premier League released a statement explaining why it was given.

Alexis Mac Allister then fired in superb second with just 24 minutes on the clock to completely turn the game on its head. Cody Gakpo grabbed a third before half time with Spurs' leaky defence continuing to give away chances.
